My absolute favorite gift this year, besides getting to be with my adorable family, was receiving a fresh off the press copy of FRANCES ELKINS INTERIOR DESIGN, by Stephen M. Salny, with a foreword by Albert Hadley. This book is so beautiful, even as an object in its own right. Also, we had a white Christmas! the first since 1969... it was so beautiful. And I did eat everything in sight. We celebrated my birthday at an old favorite, Vincenzos, with yummy southern Italian cuisine. Richard is such a warm and gracious host.
