I did so enjoy my solo sojourn to Venice Italy, where I stayed at the famous Hotel Danieli... I took a night train from Nice, after staying there with friends from the States, and then took a private water taxi to the hotel...while my room didn't have this view, it was nonetheless enchanting, elegant, and beautiful, and very cool in the Summer heat. It was my first trip to the famed la Serenissima, and I look forward greatly to returning, this time not alone. Once a palace, in the 14th century, the hotel has had many illustrious guests, and has been added onto many times over the years. Enjoy! DF *****

Decorator Scrapbook VIII
Our new view, along the bay - we'll be surrounded by water, with the gulf of mexico on one side and the bay on the other! Positano, looking the best I could make it...I do like this full, layered look for the drawing room. These gorgeous water views were taken from the shop of my friend, Lynn Daniels, of the Danieli boutique at Venetian Village. I took these shots and the one of my living room. Stay tuned for progress as we transition from Positano to our new home in the Moorings... DF ******
