Today, since it's the last day of September, I thought of cool blues as an inspiration- since it was 90 degrees today here in South Florida...according to colour experts, Pantone, blue is the most popular of all the colours- in all of its glorious shades.  

Also, NEWS ALERT! I've left Design West and have taken some much needed time off- Billy and I just returned from a lovely relaxing week on the east coast- and I'll be joining Norris Home Furnishings, beginning next month.  Find me there, at 5015 Tamiami Trail North, Naples...just down the street from the Hilton and I look forward to seeing all of my old friends ! On Palm Beach, my favorite!

Billy and I had a great time visiting friends in Miami, at the Jockey Club, on Biscayne Bay. Our host, Mr Jansen Perry, was very charming and gave us a tour of his apartment. We then took old friend John Herr up to Palm Beach, to shop for some antiques, as he had not been there. Had a wonderful lunch in Pompano at Rotelli, and a delightful dinner at the nightclub called Magnum Lounge, back in North Miami, known as NoMi... Jeffrey, the owner at Magnum always treats us very well, and we enjoyed our torch singer performing selections from Michael Feinsteins Great American Songbook! As they say, "Work hard, play hard" The high point of the day for me was of course seeing Amanda Church at Cedric Dupont Antiques in West Palm...that would be hard to beat! As a follow up to yesterdays exciting post, I wanted to add two more images from Cedric's amazing inventory, that I'm quite fond of. As I told Bill, when we were in the gallery, I'd love to purchase ALL of his inventory, and build a house to contain it! I simply could not find one single thing that I didn't absolutely covet. Cedric has a great eye - that much is obvious. What a raconteur, to build such a truly impressive business. I'm sorry I didn't have my camera with me, so you could see his beautiful building on Dixie highway in the antiques district. Enjoy the day, DF *****

Dealer Cedric Dupont, in West Palm Beach, Florida has built the most beautiful and stunning 20,000 square foot gallery along Dixie highway! Today, Bill and I visited his amazing space, and I must say, I was totally blown away! Mr Dupont specializes in high quality french and italian 18th and 19th century antique objects and furniture... Elegant and stunningly beautiful Amanda greeted us at the grand foyer, and allowed us our privacy to just soak up the super elegant and gorgeous decor that has been created to house the collections. High ceilings show off huge chandeliers, tall doors like a russian palace frame vistas showcasing the most beautiful things imaginable. Clients include Donald Trump, Celine Dion, and Rush Limbaugh... Do visit the site or the fabulous gallery, but don't' say I didn't warn you, you will be stamped with style as surely as if you had flown Concorde to Paris for the bienalle! Ooh la la! DF *****
