I was contemplating yesterday about what it is that I personally love, in the material world, and came up with two iconic properties, under one common heading; "old and sublime". Old, being relative, that is. In researching the internet and my library for this post, I discovered that Vizcaya and Bonnet House, here in Florida, are on the National Trust for Historic Preservation list "11 Most Endangered in the U.S." - due to encroaching development and the growth of urban infrastructures in Miami and Fort Lauderdale. Please visit their sites to learn more about how you can help to preserve these amazing places. Here are some images I borrowed to further the cause. Enjoy !
