A Carolina Christmas

A William Roy Wallace house
Roslyn Road

I had a wonderful and relaxing time in lovely Winston-Salem, and thought to share a few images with you-
Above, another later house by architect William Roy Wallace, who apprenticed under the famous Charles Barton Keen, of Philadelphia.  The Reynolds family had brought Mr. Keen to Winston-Salem to design "Reynolda" their estate, which was completed in 1912.  CBK then also designed the beautiful campus of buildings called Reynolds High School, where yours truly went- and as you can see from these images, W-S is a lovely old town.  Cheers!  DF *****
