While I've posted some of these before, I thought it might be fun to find favorite images to brighten up a gloomy morning- the charm of floral motifs in decorating, combined with a love of chinoiserie and granny smith apple green are recurring themes of mine!  Enjoy!  DF *****

  1. What could be more perfect than that de Gournay stairway? And I love it that Leta Austin Foster doesn't use the dreaded double welt on Louis chairs.

    1. Dear Cynthia,
You made me laugh about the double welt- yes, I did learn from Mrs. Foster about using blind cord for welting, which is much smaller and finer than the coarse version most often seen- The DeGournay is spectacular, I believe the decorator was Bruce Budd? We represent the line in our showrooms in Florida - MP Interiors (formerly dba Webster and CO of FL) Webster is still in operation at the Boston Design Center as well!
      Have a great weekend!
